Each year the Pro Second Amendment Committee hosts and supports students in grades 1-12 to write an essay generally providing their thought as to where America would be today if the Founding Fathers had not demanded that "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" be a significant part of the "Bill of Rights."
Awards are given to the winners in each grade class for first, second and third places. These awards are presented during the Annual Banquet in March.
We have seen many that write every year, year after year and with each year their understanding grows much stronger about the importance of the Second Amendment to the "Bill of Rights" of the Constitution.
